High School Curriculum

In this six-week unit, students will learn about the history of eugenics in Vermont. These resources are provided for teachers to create lessons that meet students’ emotional maturity, learning level, and readiness for the subject. The content covered can be traumatic. Eugenics is a difficult and understudied subject, particularly in regards to American history, and this may be the first time students are introduced to the field.
